To mark the 5th anniversary of the largest environmental event in history – Earth Hour. Aria Productions will hold a Candlelight Opera Gala at the Albert Street Uniting Church to celebrate the occasion.
The gala will begin at 8:00pm with the usual powered lighting and then, after an audience countdown to Earth Hour at 8:30pm, the lights will be turned off and the music will begin by candlelight.
Performers include one of Brisbane’s favourite sopranos, Leslie Martin, whose stunning voice has taken her to Opera Australia, Opera Queensland and to a career in Europe.
Alongside this experienced singer, Aria Productions are proud to be showcasing two exciting young talents in Mia Yaniw (Mezzo Soprano) and Iain Henderson (Tenor).

As well as providing valuable performance experience to emerging Queensland talent, Earth Hour Candlelight Opera Gala will also raise funds for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Wesley Mission Brisbane.
